Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers- NFL Week 4 Thursday Night Game Preview and Pick

BetAnySports  Pointspread: Green Bay -7

BetAnySports Total Line: 45.5

A classic NFL rivalry will be renewed this Thursday night when the Chicago Bears invade Lambeau Field to square off against the Green Bay Packers in an 8:25 p.m. (ET) kickoff on CBS.

Chicago at Green Bay Game Preview

The Bears started the season with a tight 23-17 loss to Atlanta at home to cover against the spread as 6.5-point underdogs. This past Sunday at home against Pittsburgh, they did not need the 6.5 points to cover in a straight-up 23-17 victory in overtime. Chicago is now 1-2 SU on the year with a 2-1 mark ATS. The total has stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in all three games. It has also stayed UNDER in four of the Bears’ last six games on the road.

Mike Glennon put the ball up 22 times in Sunday’s win and he completed just half of those passes for 101 yards. The Bears did all of their damage on the ground behind Jordan Howard. He gave Chicago the early lead on a three-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and he secured his team’s first victory of the year with a 19-yard touchdown run in overtime. The Bears rushed for a total of 220 yards on 38 attempts.

Green Bay moved to 2-1 SU with a 1-2 record ATS with its 27-24 overtime victory against Cincinnati. The total went OVER BetAnySports’ 47.5-point line in that game and it has gone OVER in two of the Packers’ first three games. They failed to cover as seven-point home favorites in Sunday’s win to fall to 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games. They are still a perfect 5-0 SU in their last five games played at home.

Aaron Rodgers hit Geronimo Allison for a 72-yard pass play in overtime to set up the game-winning 27-yard field goal. He ended the game with 313 yards passing and three touchdown throws. Allison caught six passes for 122 yards as part of Rodgers’ 28 completions in that game. Green Bay is still trying to establish its run game after adding just 64 yards on the ground on 17 carries against the Bengals.

Chicago at Green Bay Free Game Prediction

This black and blue battle should be a good one between two teams that do not like each other all that much. I would probably go with Green Bay playing at home, but my top play in this one would be the UNDER 45.5 on BetAnySports’ current total line.
