Golden State at Cleveland Game Preview

Golden State held serve on its home court with a pair of double-digit victories in the first two games. The Warriors failed to cover as 12.5-point favorites in a wild 124-114 overtime victory in Game 1 before blowing the doors off the Cavaliers in Game 2 with a 122-103 win as 11.5-point favorites with BetAnySports. The total went OVER in each of those games. Golden State heads on the road with an even 4-4 record in he playoffs both straight-up and against the spread.

Any lingering concerns about the health of Stephen Curry’s left knee have been dispelled with his stellar performance in the first two games. After putting up a team-high 29 points in the series opener, he scored a game-high 33 points in Sunday’s win while going 9-for-17 from three-point range. The Warriors shot 57.3 percent from the field in Game 2 and 41.7 percent from three-point range.

The Cavaliers blew a golden opportunity to gain the early edge in this series, but they have shown the ability to bounce back from an early deficit in seven-game series wins against Indiana in the opening round and Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals. Doing the same against Golden State will be a much tougher test. Cleveland returns home with a SU 8-1 record in the postseason, but that mark falls to 4-5 ATS. The total has gone OVER BetAnySports’ closing line in three of its last four home games.

LeBron James continues to carry his team in this series like he has the entire postseason. He scored 51 points in Game 1 with eight rebounds and eight assists. He went 19-of-32 from the field, but the Cavaliers went 10-of-37 from three-point range. He scored a team-high 29 points in Game 2 going 10-for-20 from the floor. Cleveland shot 41.1 percent from the field in the 19-point loss and 33.3 from beyond the arc.

Golden State at Cleveland Free Game Prediction

I have the Warriors winning this series in five games with the lone loss coming in Wednesday’s Game 3. Look for Cleveland to post a fast start out of the gate and hold on desperately for the win.
