The best-of-seven NBA Finals get underway on Thursday night with the Cleveland Cavaliers facing off against the Golden State Warriors. Game 1 from ORACLE Arena is set to tip-off at 9 p.m. (ET) on ABC.

Cleveland at Golden State Game Preview

This will be the fourth-straight season that Cleveland has played Golden State in the championship series. It took victories against Indiana and Boston in seven games sandwiched around a four-game sweep of Toronto to win this year’s Eastern Conference Championship. The Cavaliers went 8-10 against the spread during this 12-6 straight-up run and the total stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in 11 of the 18 games.

If Cleveland has any shot of winning its second NBA title in four years, it is going need another monster effort from LeBron James. He has averaged 34.0 points per game this postseason boosted by 35 points or more in three of the last four games of the Boston series. The Cavaliers are only averaging 101.2 points per game in the playoffs after averaging 110.9 points in the regular season. Kevin Love remains questionable for Game 1 due to a concussion.

Golden State punched its ticket to its fourth NBA Championship series in a row with a SU 12-5 record through its first three series. After bouncing San Antonio and New Orleans from the playoffs in a pair of 4-1 series wins, the Warriors needed the full seven games to get past Houston in the conference finals. They went 9-8 ATS in the 17 games with the total staying UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in 12 of those contests.

With the exception of Andre Iguodala’s knee, Golden State comes into this series in pretty good health. Draymond Green tweaked his ankle in Game 7 against the Rockets, but he should be ready to go on Thursday night. Kevin Durant (29.0 points) and Stephen Curry (24.8 points) continue to lead the way in the scoring department with Klay Thomson as the third Warriors’ player averaging at least 20 PPG.

Going with Golden State to cover the 12 points comes with some risk, but I am looking for the Warriors to draw first blood in this year’s championship series with a lopsided win on Thursday night.
