Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays – 6/27/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction
The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blues Jays continue this week’s three-game tilt in a 7:07 p.m. (ET) start this Wednesday night at the Rogers Centre with both AL East foes looking to make up some ground in the division title race.
Baltimore at Toronto Game Preview
Baltimore closed out this weekend’s series against Tampa Bay with a pair of victories by doubling up the Rays 16-8 over those two games. The total went OVER VietBet’s closing line in both of those contests and it has gone OVER or ended as a PUSH in eight of the Orioles last 10 games. They come into this series 4.5 games in back of New York in the AL East at 37-38 with a shaky 13-24 record on the road.
It should be Wade Miley’s turn in Baltimore’s starting rotation come Wednesday night. The lefty has hit a rough patch during the month of June with a total of 19 earned runs allowed over his last four starts. He got tagged with the loss last Thursday at home against Cleveland after surrendering four earned runs on eight hits in five innings pitched. As far as scoring goes, the Orioles are ranked 10th in the AL with an average of 4.6 runs a game.
The Blue Jays fell to 36-39 and 5.5 games off the pace in the division title race with six losses over their last 10 games. They snapped a three-game skid with Sunday’s 8-2 victory against Kansas City as -128 road favorites. With the total going OVER VietBet’s closing nine-run line in that game, it has now gone OVER in eight of their last 12 outings. Toronto returns home with a 19-17 record at Rogers Centre this season.
Marcus Stroman has been penciled in as Toronto’s starter on Wednesday night. His last trip to the mound lasted just four innings after getting tagged for seven earned runs on seven hits including three home runs to pick up the loss against Texas. The right-hander has lost his last two starts to fall to 7-4 on the year with a 3.69 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. Going back over the Blue Jays’ last eight games, they have scored a total of 29 runs in four victories and a combined nine runs in four losses.

I think both of these lineups should have some success putting the ball in play on Wednesday night and while my lean is towards Toronto as a heavy home favorite, my ‘best bet’ is the OVER on VietBet’s 9.5 – run total line.
