The 7-8 Arizona Cardinals head into CenturyLink Field this Sunday afternoon for a season finale matchup in the NFC West against the 9-6 Seattle Seahawks, who are fighting to keep their consecutive five-season playoff steak alive with a win and some help. Game time on FOX is set for 4:25 p.m. (ET).

Arizona at Seattle Game Preview

At 7-8 straight-up on the year, Arizona is left to play the role of spoiler in its final game of the season. The Cardinals have managed to win three of their last five games both straight-up and against the spread, but all three victories came at home where they are 5-3 this season. When it comes to playing on the road, they fall to 2-5 SU with a 1-6 record ATS. Arizona is 5-9-1 ATS overall and the total has stayed UNDER in 10 of those 15 games.

Drew Stanton should get the start at quarterback this Sunday after helping his team shutdown the New York Giants 23-0 last Sunday as three-point home favorite. He ended the game with 209 yards passing and two touchdown throws, but he was also intercepted twice. The Cardinals are ranked 25th in the NFL in scoring with an average of 17.9 points per game.

Seattle’s bid to win the NFC West came to a sudden end in a dismal 42-7 loss to the rival Los Angeles Rams in Week 15 as a slight one-point home favorite. It was able to keep its playoff hopes alive in the NFC as a possible wild card team with Sunday’s stunning 21-12 road upset against Dallas as a 4.5-point underdog. All told, the Seahawks are 9-6 SU with a 6-8-1 record ATS. They have gone 2-5 ATS at home and 3-4-1 ATS when closing as favorites with BetAnySports.

Russell Wilson has basically been Seattle’s offense this season and its once feared defense has been heavily depleted due to multiple injuries, yet it has still managed to stay in postseason contention heading into the final Sunday of the regular season. If both Wilson and what is left of the Seahawks’ defense can rally like they both did against Dallas, they should be able to put their fate into the outcome of Atlanta’s game against Carolina late Sunday afternoon as well.

Arizona at Seattle Free Game Prediction

The Cardinals have proven to be one of the worst road teams in the NFL this season both SU and ATS and I believe this will bear itself out in Seattle this Sunday afternoon. I am laying the current touchdown spread at BetAnySports with a bet on the Seahawks covering.
