BetAnySports Pointspread: Seattle -3

Monday Night Football from CenturyLink Field features a NFC clash between two birds of prey when the 5-4 Atlanta Falcons take on the 6-3 Seattle Seahawks in an 8:30 p.m. (ET) kickoff on ESPN.

Atlanta at Seattle Game Preview

Atlanta remained two games off the pace in the heated NFC South title race with last Sunday’s 27-7 victory against Dallas as a three-point home favorite. It is now 5-4 straight-up on the year with a 3-6 record against the spread. It record on the road this season ATS is just 1-4. The total stayed UNDER BetAnySport’s closing 49-point line in last week’s contest and it has stayed UNDER in five of the Falcons’ last six games.

Behind an impressive defensive effort that included eight sacks, Atlanta held the Cowboys to just 233 yards of total offense. On the year, this unit is 10th in the NFL in points allowed (19.9) and it moves up to seventh in yards allowed (311.9). Matt Ryan completed an efficient 22 of his 29 passing attempts for 215 yards and a score to also help pace last week’s win. The Falcons are eighth in the league in total yards gained.

The Seahawks are also coming off a crucial win in Week 10 to stay one game in back of the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West. Their 22-16 road victory against Arizona ended as a PUSH with the total staying UNDER BetAnySports’ closing 40-point line. Seattle is now 3-5-1 ATS and the total has stayed UNDER in six of its first nine games. It has gone 1-3 ATS at home and 2-3-1 ATS when closing as a favorite.

Defense has always been the Seahawks’ strong suit, but this unit was dealt a major blow last week with Richard Sherman going down with a torn Achilles. It is ranked 13th in the NFL against the pass with a major hole to fill in the secondary. Russell Wilson continues to lead an offense that is second in the NFL in passing yards and seventh in total yards. The issue on this side of the ball has been a running game that is averaging 100.7 yards with Wilson as its leading rusher.

Atlanta at Seattle Free Game Prediction

Both of these teams have struggled with consistency on both sides of the ball this season, but they matchup extremely close to one another. Staying away from a bet on the spread, I am going with the UNDER on 45 points as my ‘best bet’ pick for Monday night.
