Dallas at Oakland- NFL Week 15 Sunday Night Game Preview and Pick
Sunday’s NFL betting action in Week 15 winds things up with a very interesting inter-conference tilt between the 7-6 Dallas Cowboys and the 6-7 Oakland Raiders in an 8:30 p.m. kickoff at the Oakland Coliseum. NBC will carry the national broadcast.
Dallas at Oakland Game Preview
The Cowboys have played themselves back into wild card contention in the jumbled NFC playoff picture with back-to-back division victories against Washington at home and New York on the road. They are also 7-6 against the spread while covering in four of their first six road games. The total has stayed UNDER VietBet’s closing line in five of their last six games overall.
Following some very shaky performances in the first three games (all losses) of Ezekiel Elliott’s six-game NFL suspension, second-year quarterback Dak Prescott returned to form in those last two wins. Sunday against the Giants, he put the ball up 30 times with 20 completions for 332 yards and three scores. More importantly, he did not throw any interceptions or take any sacks. Dallas also upped it game on defense after getting torched for a combined 106 points in its previous four games.
Oakland’s hopes of locking up the AFC West title took a serious hit with Sunday’s 26-15 loss to rival Kansas City as a 4.5-point road underdog. It is now one game back at 6-7 SU with a costly 4-8-1 record ATS. The Raiders have failed to cover in four of six games this season closing as underdogs with VietBet. The total has stayed UNDER in eight of 13 games.
The Raiders’ chances to keep their playoff hopes alive could fall on the throwing shoulder of Derek Carr. His lack of consistency at quarterback is a direct reflection of his team’s lack of consistency in the win/loss column. In Sunday’s loss to Kansas City, he completed fewer than 60 percent of his 41 passing attempts for 211 yards and one score, while throwing two interceptions. Oakland is still ranked just 22nd in the NFL in scoring with 20.3 points per game.

You can see why Dallas is favored for Sunday night given the turnaround in its last two games, but I am still focused on how bad the Cowboys looked against much stiffer competition in those early three losses without Elliott. The Raiders have more than enough issues off their own to contend with, but I am rolling the dice that they put together a total team effort to knock off Dallas at home this Sunday night with a SU win.
