New York at Denver- NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Game Preview and Pick
The New York Giants will make a trip to Sports Authority Field at Mile High this Sunday night to try and snap a five-game straight-up skid against the 3-1 Denver Broncos, who are coming off their bye week. Game time on NBC is set for 8:30 p.m. (ET).
New York at Denver Game Preview
The Giants remained one of three NFL teams still looking for that first straight-up victory of the year with last Sunday’s 27-22 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers as three-point home favorites with VietBet. They are 2-3 against the spread and the total has gone OVER in three of the five games. New York will head back on the road this week with a 1-6 SU record in its last seven road games and the total has stayed UNDER in eight of its last 12 games on the road.
The loss to the Chargers came at a steep price with both Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall sustaining season-ending juries to further deplete the Giants’ receiving corps. Sterling Shepard was also injured and he remains questionable for Sunday night. To make matters worse, the Giants are ranked 30th in the NFL in rushing with an average of just 77.8 yards per game.
Denver will be well rested for this game coming off a bye at 3-1 SU with a 2-1-1 record ATS. It got past Oakland 16-10 its last time out as a 3.5-point home favorite with the total staying well UNDER VietBet’s closing 44-point line. The total had gone OVER in the Broncos’ first three games. The Week 4 win against Oakland moved their record to 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 home games.
With Trevor Siemian directing the offense at quarterback, Denver is ranked 13th in the league in total yards and 11th in scoring with an average of 24.5 points per game. CJ Anderson continues to anchor a rushing attack that is third in the NFL with 143.0 yards per game. The Broncos remain solid on the other side of the ball behind a defense that is holding opposing teams to 18.5 PPG. This unit is ranked first in total yards allowed.
New York at Denver Free Game Prediction
New York has definitely picked a bad spot to try and end this losing streak. While I am not all that eager to give so many points to a desperate team, Denver’s defense alone should be able to keep this game UNDER VietBet’s current 40-point total line.
