Pittsburgh at Cincinnati- NFL Week 13 Monday Night Game Preview and Pick
The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals wrap up their AFC North season series this Monday night at Paul Brown Stadium in an 8:30 p.m. (ET) kickoff on ESPN.
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati Game Preview
Early in Pittsburgh’s current straight-up six-game winning streak, they hammered the Bengals’ 29-14 as four-point home favorites back on Oct. 22. With last Sunday night’s 31-28 victory at home against Green Bay as 14-point favorites, the Steelers ran their SU record on the year to 9-2. They have been far less reliable on the betting board at BetAnySports with a 6-5 record against the spread, but a total line bet on the UNDER has paid off in eight of their first 11 games.
To pull off the season sweep, Pittsburgh will once again rely on Ben Roethlisberger throwing the ball to Antonio Brown and handing it off to Le’Veon Bell. Behind this trio of stars, the Steelers are ranked 12th in the league in scoring with 23.5 points per game and seventh in total yards gained (367.0). The numbers are even better on the other side of the ball with a defense that is fourth in both yards allowed (289.4) and points allowed (17.5).
Cincinnati is in that must-win mode to stay in the crowded AFC wild card race at 5-6 SU (6-5). It has won its last two games against Denver on the road and Cleveland at home, but getting a third win in a row against a bitter division foe will be a much tougher task. The Bengals are 2-3 ATS at home this season with the total staying UNDER in three of the five games.
The Bengals come into this game with an offense that is 32nd in the league in yards gained (274.3) and it improves slightly to 25th in scoring with 18.1 points a game. If Cincinnati is going to have any chance to win this game or even keep it close, it is going to need a big night from a defense that is fifth in the NFL against the pass while giving up an average of just 19.5 PPG.
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati Free Game Prediction
Pittsburgh is one of the best teams on the field in the AFC, but it is still hit or miss on the betting board at BetAnySports. The Steelers should win and cover on Monday night, but I like the Bengals’ chances to put up enough of a fight on defense to keep the total UNDER 43.5 points.
